Honor Mobile Shoot

In January 2024 Royal Greenwich Fencing Club was involved with the filming of an advert to promote the new Honor Magic 6 Pro mobile phone. The advert featured international female French sabreur’s Cecilia Berder and Coline Suzzanne fencing on one of the new Royal Greenwich Fencing Club pistes, which the production company hired from the Club for the shoot. The filming also included the use of the mobile phones with a Bullet Time rig, which is used to take frozen time shots like those used in The Matrix and Inception. The Club’s coach, Ian Lightbown, had a brief conversation with Cecilia and Coline during a break in filming, both of them being able to speak English, and they were very nice young women. At the time of the shoot they were working towards representing France at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Cecilia got an individual 9th place and 4th team place.
